A string quartet that has garnered international praise and has local connections will perform at Southern Theatre.
The Chamber Music Connection and Chamber Music Columbus will be presenting the Calidore String Quartet performing Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Quartet in D Major, K. 575” at 4 p.m. on Jan. 16.

The Calidore also has a special connection with Columbus. First violinist Jeffrey Myers, a graduate of Upper Arlington High School, was a member of the Chamber Music Connection string quartet known as opus.

Described as “the epitome of confidence and finesse” (Gramophone Magazine) and “a miracle of unified thought” (La Presse, Montreal), the Calidore String Quartet has established an international reputation for its informed, polished and passionate performances. The Calidore were featured as Young Artists-in-Residence on American Public Media’s Performance Today, and their performances have been broadcast on National Public Radio, BBC, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and Korean Broadcasting Corporation. Read More »
